The Dream Job

It is never too late to be what you might have been” – George Eliot

This is a quote that was first introduced to me by my younger sister a few years ago and it instantly became one of my favourite quotes. It is a source of motivation, inspiration, and hope all wrapped into one presentable bundle.

Depending on who you ask, some people may be in accordance with that quote, while others may not necessarily believe it to be true. But I guess one’s opinion on the topic of “never stop believing” and “keep striving for that dream” can be based off of internal factors (e.g., mentality or personal experiences) and external factors (e.g., the people they surround themselves with).

A couple of days ago, Andre Borges of Buzzfeed India, posted such an intriguing article that showed the work of photographer Deeksha Rathore. The article featured beautiful and powerful images of individuals posing as their current profession but at the same time also posing for what their dream job is.

As seen in the screenshot above, the contrast in professions is shown by sliding a tab left and right. Ms. Rathore fantastically captured these images in her project that she calls Dreamcatcher, and is definitely worth the share. Click here to view the article.

So for those who firmly believe in the George Eliot quote I say, you can absolutely do it !! Do not let obstacles discourage you from reaching that dream. Conquer your goal and show the world who’s boss 😉 I am rooting for you (pom poms and all 😀 )
